This Redwing (Turdus Iliacus) was photographed in Salthouse, north Norfolk during the winter.
Redwings roam across the UK’s countryside, feeding in fields and hedgerows and very rarely visiting gardens, except in the coldest weather when snow covers the fields. Only a few pairs have been known to nest in the UK.

Equipment: Canon Eos 1DsMk2, Canon 500mm F4L IS Lens.
