Chaffinch
PreviousNext
The chaffinch (Fringilla Coelebsis) the UK’s second commonest breeding bird, and is arguably the most colourful of all the UK's finches. Its patterned plumage helps it to blend in when feeding on the ground and is often found underneath a birdseed feeder as it picks around at the fallen seeds. This Chaffinch was photographed at the RSPB reserve in Minsmere Suffolk.
