Sedge Warbler
Acrocephalus schoenobaenus
The sedge warbler is a small, warbler with a broad creamy stripe above its eye as seen in this picture. This is a summer visitor to our shores and spends the colder winter months in central Africa. These birds have a noisy song and often you can hear them, but you can’t see them. This bird was displaying along a path at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve at Cley.
