PreviousNext
This Swallow (Hirundo Rustica) was photographed sitting on a sign post at the RSPB reserve at Minsmere in Suffolk. These small birds have a dark glossy blue back with a red throat and pale under parts. The long distinctive tail streamers can clearly be seen in this picture. They are extremely agile in flight and spend most of their time on the wing.
