Song Birds
A Swallow's Salute
PreviousNext
This Swallow (Hirundo Rustica) was preening itself in the midday sun at the RSPB reserve at Minsmere.
They are extremely agile in flight and spend most of their time on the wing, so I was lucky to get a bird that was happy to sit still whilst I photographed it.
Equipment: Canon Eos 1DsMk2, Canon 500mm F4L IS Lens.
